World Bank’s NSHIP TTL Special Visit to Adamawa 1st to 5th March 2016

Dr Oluwole Odutolu, The Senior Health Specialist and Task Team Leader (TTL) of the Nigeria States Health Investment Project (NSHIP) arrived Yola on Tuesday 1st March 2016 on a special monitoring mission of additional support to the seven Local Governments affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.

NSHIP through the visionary leadership of Dr Odutola approved the sum of N425m to support all the health units and the secondary health facilities in the affected Local Government Areas. Half of the total sum was disbursed to the facilities and utilised by them through their respective community committees with very encouraging outcomes.

Dr Oluwole Odutolu, also approved the establishment and support of a mobile health team stationed at Mubi General Hospital that roves round the affected health units to enhance their re-establishment of NSHIP supported Performance Based Financing (PBF) or Decentralised Facility Financing (DFF) contracts in the affected Local Government Areas, especially Madagali Local Government.
