2017 Mid –Year Review and 2018 Planning Meeting for States Supported by UNICEF Nigeria Bauchi Field Office 12th July 2017 In Yola

The meeting was held at the American University of Nigeria (AUN) Hotel for the year 2017 was hosted by the Adamawa State Primary healthcare Development Agency (ADSPHCDA),the deputy governor of Adamawa state Engr Martins Nasir Babale , Secretary to the State Government Engr Buba Bindir, Head of service of the state were in full attendance of the meeting. Executive Chairman Adamawa state primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Abdullahi Belel who received the Deputy governor of Adamawa state and his entourage commended the state government for their support to move the State Primary healthcare Development Agency (SPHCDA) to the next level, Dr (Engr) Umar Buba Bindir SSG in his welcome address spoke on the philosophy of the government to work with people that has a clear and purposeful vision that would move the state forward regardless of religion ethnic and tribe.

The SSG further pointed that the executive chairman State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Abdullahi Belel is one great leader, Administrator and an Ambassador representing the state in the healthcare sub-sector in the state, Nigeria and has done proud globally. The SSG called on the other Citizen of the state follow suit to move the state forward.

The Deputy Governor of Adamawa state, His Excellency Engr. Martins Nasir Babale in his speech thanked the development partners for their support to the state and  call on them to continue in  same vision of saving the life of children and women of Adamawa through improved quality healthcare services.

The Deputy governor on behalf of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency(SPHCDA) presented award to key representative, specialist who have sacrificed and done greatly in healthcare development in the state from different development partners such as Dr. Abdulai Kaikai Chief of Field Office UNICEF, Dr. Oluwale Odutolu Senior health specialist World Bank, Dr. Halima Abdu health specialist UNICEF, Dr. Garba Sufiyanu Health specialist MNCH UNICEF just to mention but a few.

The recipients of the award thanked the SPHCDA for acknowledging their supports.

The meeting continued with series presentation on planning with UNICEF Nigeria supported state and meeting with development partners from the World Bank, ICRC, and OXFAM etc.
