Healthcare Emeritus in Nigeria Commended Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency for The Superlative Performance in Transforming the Primary Healthcare System in Adamawa State to Expected Global Standard.

The August visitor who was in Adamawa state as one of the resource person to build the capacity of executive secretary of the Adamawa state Primary healthcare Authority, programme officers and director of Adamawa state primary healthcare development agency (ADSPHCDA) during a workshop organized by Supreme Management.

The training was on sustainable driven management of primary healthcare and the PHC facilities.

The Emeritus, Prof Michael C Asuzu from the Department of community medicine collage of Medicine University of Ibadan collage Hospital thank God for the opportunity given to him to visit after a longtime. While in the state, the August visitor was conducted round some primary Health center by the State primary health care development Agency project coordinator to see for himself the transformation so far, he was at Nana Asmau PHC facilities in Yola south, where he made a clear his experience on what achievement and impact the PHC system have attained in the state. Prof. Michael stressed that what he has seen in the state, was a dream come through for what the PHC in country supposed to have attained in the early 70s. However, the elder statesman said, “hope is not lost as Dr. Abdullahi Dauda Belel Have taken a giant step as a role model in the country for other state to follow in Nigeria.

Prof. Michael went ahead and said “the Performance and the Success exhibited by Dr. Abdullahi Dauda Belel in developing a system that would give a quality healthcare in Adamawa state and the country at large is superlative and outstanding. The healthcare Professional encouraged the healthcare worker to inculcate the culture to serve humanity and work for their community with passion to sustain the mark of excellence.”

There is no doubt if such tempo is maintained in healthcare service delivery, it will go a long way in the provision of quality healthcare for all in Adamawa state and a country at large.
