Swiss TPH at Basel, Switzerland on Caramal Project to Implement 2million Euro Project in Adamawa State Through the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency

The Adamawa State Primary healthcare Development Agency under the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Dauda Belel secured 2 million euro Project to help identify early sign of malaria in children under the age of 5 (five) by giving them rectal Artesunate and link them to referral centers across the state for treatment, the statement was declared to world at the Basal spring symposium by the pioneer chairman Dr. Abdullah Dauda Belel, at the same time shared his experience in the Implementation of Algorithim for the Management of Childhood Health(ALMANACH) in Adamawa state.
 
Dr. Abdullahi in his presentation stressed that the investment will go a long way to create link to upgrade referral system and treatment across the state considering the severe malaria causes half (50%) of total death amongst children under the age of five in Nigeria.

The executive chairman Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Abdullahi Dauda Belel applauded the support and intervention by ICRC, Swiss TPH and the team of health specialist which includes; Prof. Juerg Utzinger, Dr. Martin Raab and Dr. Manuel Hetzel for their commitments and sparing time to review the project with him in Basel , Switzerland.
