Bhanu Pathak Unicef Chief Field Office Bauchi Familiarisation Visit To Adamawa State

The UNICEF Chief field office Bhanu Pathak in line with his vision and mission to ensure effective, efficient implementation of quality healthcare project and intervention found it pertinent to pay a familiarisation tour to Adamawa state to see for him the developmental impact put in place by the state government under the auspices of Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ADSPHCDA).
Bhanu Pathak and his entourage on arrival moved straight ahead to the Head office of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency for the courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Dauda Belel. After a brief presentation by the Project Coordinator ADSPHCDA, Dr. Paul S. Margwa on behalf of the agency to the  UNICEF Team on the impact and achievement and  developmental stride of the agency.

Dr. Abdullahi Dauda Belel led the team to the office of the executive Governor of Adamawa State Sen. Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow who was represented by the Deputy  governor Engr. Martins Nasir Babale. The governor in his speech applauded the UNICEF for the numerous interventions in the state in State Ministry of health, ADSPHCDA, Water resources, Ministry of education just to mention but a few. He further declared the government commitment and readiness to create an enabling environment that would strengthen the existing partnership between the state government and UNICEF.

The Hon. Commissioner of health Dr. Fatima Atiku Abubakar while visited by the UNICEF   team assured them the support of the Ministry’s to achieve the vision of the UNICEF project and programme in the State.

In Addition, the Executive Chairman Adamawa State Primary health cares development Agency Dr. Abdullahi D. Belel in an interview with Journalist expressed satisfaction with visit by the unicef new Chief of field office, Dr. Belel in his speech indicated that the visit enabled the Health specialist to visit Healthcare facilities in the state to see for himself the level at which resource supported by Unicef are Utilized by the primary and secondary healthcare facilities for the provision of quality and quantitative healthcare services delivery  to the people of Adamawa state.

The Unicef chief field office Bhanu Pathak after fruitful visit and deliberation with members of the executive council,Special Adviser to the Governor made clear the readiness of Unicef to support the state in the provision of quality healthcare especially Women and Children and the general public.
