NPHCDA NSHIP In Collaboration ADSPHCDA Four (4) Days Healthcare Waste Management Training In Yola Adamawa State

The management of wastes originating from healthcare activities can have detrimental effects on human health and well-being and the environment if not done according to the best practices. Therefore, Sustainable management of healthcare waste (HCW) has continue to generate increasing public interest due to the problem associated with exposure of human beings to potentially hazardous waste arising from healthcare.

In view of this development, a four( 4) meeting  was held at Kinasar Hotel to building the capacity of healthcare professional on healthcare waste management techniques with the view to step down the technical skills to the Local Government Level to help strengthen healthcare waste management in respective Health facilities in Adamawa state.

The training drawn resource person from the National and State Primary healthcare Development Agency whereby experts and the participant brainstormed on technical issues, made presentation and interactive season and skills that will help mitigate challenges faced in Healthcare Waste management at facility level.

It is expected at end of the day the Knowledge acquired from the training will help improve the quality healthcare waste management by healthcare workers, communities and health facilities
