DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS ASSURE THE NEW LEADERSHIP OF THE STATE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY UNDER DR. SULAIMAN SAIDU BASHIR OF THEIR ABSOLUTE COMMITMENT TO IMPROVE HEALTHCARE SERVICE DELIVERY IN THE STATE.06-07-2020

Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir during a familiarization meeting with leadership of critical development partners and stakeholders in the state solicited for the restructuring and prioritization of areas of intervention by donor partner with the view to attain wider coverage and critical needs of targeted communities, these will enable effective and efficient utilization of resource. Hence, the need to reduce Maternal and mortality rate and improvement health services in the state.

Dr. Bashir in his welcome address applauded the outstanding performance and contribution by the development partners since the establishment of the agency. The Momentous Meeting, is first of its kind in 17 months until the appointment of Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir and board members, thereby strategies in line with Vision and Mission of the agency to Pro -actively Provide Leadership that supports the promotion and implementation of high quality and sustainable Primary Health Care service for all rural communities. Through standard resource mobilization, partnership, collaboration, development of sustainable community-based financing projects and functional health facilities.

The Paralleled meeting witnessed the participation of representative and leadership of WHO, UNICEF, World Bank (NSHIP and SMOML), GIZ, Society for Family Health, PLAN International, Oxfam, AUN, NURU Nigeria, CRS AFNET/NSTOP, IRC, CDC and DRC in the state among others. The Familiarization meeting was fruitful and a participatory deliberation.
