The Executive Chairman Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir in his welcome remark expressed his delight for the visit in view of the fact that UNICEF is one of the critical partners to the development of the primary health care subsector in Adamawa State. He added that the visit is timely, due to the fact the State Primary Health Care Development Agency is taking a dynamic step to reposition the sector for quality health care service delivery to the people of Adamawa State.
The UNICEF delegation lead by Bhanu Pathak Chief of field office Bauchi in company of Dr. Emmanuel Emedo Health Specialist, Oluseyi Olusunde Health officer, Margret Amshi Gituwa health specialist Immunization all from Bauchi field office among others. The team lead Bhanu Pathak in his remarks congratulated Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir for the well-deserved appointment to drive the primary health in Adamawa state to greater height. Thereby, urged Dr. Bashir to adopt strategic approach that will strengthen the MNCH service among others.
In addition, made clear the need to visit some selected Primary Health Care Facilities (PHC)also to monitor level of development in area of intervention with the view to strengthen sustainability of the progress made thus far.
The UNICEF team during the de briefing discussed extensively with ADSPHCDA directors, technical officers and programme officers.
