MICHIKA COMMUNITY RECEIVED A BOOST AS PLAN INTERNATIONAL HAND OVER REHABILITATED HEALTH FACILITY AND HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT TO ADAMAWA STATE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (ADSPHCDA).2ND-SEPT-2020

This development took place at  Bazza Tuduwada in Michika Local Government area of Adamawa State, PLAN International in its quest as an NGO to improve the living standard of people found it critical to strengthen resilience in the region by enhancing the quality of health care service delivery, thereby rehabilitated a dilapidated Primary Health Care Facility at Tudunwada to a Functional capacity.

The Executive Chairman Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir and Community during the handing over ceremony commended the pragmatic step exhibited by PLAN INTERNATIONAL in the area of health and education in Michika local government, despite the unacceptable trend by Boko Haram which have hampered significant social services and empowerment of the people.

He therefore, urged the community to work collectively to take ownership in sustainability of the intervention put in place respectively. Stakeholders presents at the event among others are the Country director PLAN International Dr.Hussaini Abdu, District Head of Bazza, Executive secretary Primary Health Authority (PHCA) Michika and community participation.
