Primary Health system

The State Health Care System is based on the three ties system of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Care. The Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency has the responsibility to develop policies strategies, guideline, plans and programmes that provide the overall direction for the Primary Health Care Service Delivery System.


Through resource mobilization, collaboration, partnership and development of community-based financing projects and functional health facilities, the ADSPHCDA ensures that infants are fully immunized against vaccine Preventable diseases (e.g Polio) before attaining the age of 12 months.

Maternal and child health

The ADSPHCDA is committed to the survival of every child and safe delivery of pregnant women in the state. with the assistance of partners from multiple sectors and the involvement of all sectors concern, we are beginning to see a positive change in key indicators, for instance pilot testing projects.(performance based financing project) is been prepiloted in Fufore Local Government Area.
